Cheese Hamburger Steak of Red Sea Bream (Madai)
Ingredients (1 serving)
- Tai(Red sea beam)100 g (3.5 oz)
- (A) 1/6 to 1/8 onion, finely chopped (30 g: 1 oz)
- (A) 1 teaspoon garlic, grated
- (A) 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- (A) 3 tablespoons bread crumbs
- (A) 1/3 egg, beaten
- (A) 1 tablespoon ketchup
- (A) 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- (A) Salt as needed
- (A) Pepper as needed
- (A) Butter as needed
- (A) 1 sliced cheese
(Tomato sauce)
- 5 tablespoons canned whole tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons chopped onion
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic, grated
- Salt as needed
- Pepper as needed
- A pinch of sugar
- Olive oil as needed
(Accompaniments)
- Sauteed spinach and bacon with garlic butter

How to cook
1. Make the tomato sauce. Add olive oil and garlic in a saucepan. Heat until fragrant, add onions and cook, then add whole tomatoes. Season with salt, pepper and sugar.
2. Roughly mince the Tai with a knife.
3. Add (2) and A to a bowl and mix the meat well. Then, shape into hamburger patties.
4. In a frying pan, melt the butter and brown (3) on both sides. Top with a sliced cheese. Use a pan lid to cover and melt the cheese.
5. Arrange the accompaniments and (4) on a plate and pour the sauce. Garnish with herbs.
